What a MESS! Ocean Springs UMC's first VBS has finished, and what a success it was! We had 15 in attendance every day, with some new faces that we were so happy to get to know. The theme, "Jesus Loves Our Messes," reminded all of us that we are loved and should never be afraid to ask for help. The kids got to make messes galore, including throwing powder chalk balls, painting with many different mediums, making their own slime, and even creating edible artwork!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped serve, teach, prepare, and pull off this historic event. We couldn't have done any of it without each of you.

We are very excited to be offering our First Vacation Bible School!
What a Mess! VBS will be June 8-12 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Check-in begins at 8:45 and will be in the Life Center, the building behind the church.
We will have daily lessons, crafts, games, discussions, and a snack, which will all align with that day's lesson. The lessons center around Jesus loving Messy People! He invites us to come to him with our messes and wants to help us deal with them.
Children will need to be picked up by 12pm each day but you are welcome to come in early and join in for the group discussion! Pick-up is in the same location they are dropped off.
We have a limited number of spots, so register soon! All participants must register. Open to kids ages 3 to 12, kids must be 3 by June 1, 2026 and potty trained. The only exception to this will be if a parent/guardian will be accompanying the child at all times.
VBS will only be advertised on our website and in church, so make sure to tell a friend and have them register too!

IMPORTANT: We will get MESSY!!! Have your kiddos dress accordingly. The week includes things like washable paint, chalk powder (that gets thrown around), slime, shaving cream, etc...
